Five Top 2010 Gadgets I Really Wanted for Christmas

Every year I look forward for Christmas.  It is not only because it’s gift-giving month but as well as the time for me to think about the past year's newest and greatest technology things.   And this year is not an exemption.  I already have the Five top 2010 gadgets in mind that I want to have and own before the year comes to a close:

1.    Apple Ipad – this amazing gadget is a must-have for me.  I’m not the one who just happens to go by the trend.  My work as a web designer would probably qualify me as an official geek, but mind you I also have an eye for exciting playthings, oh I mean gadgets that will also benefit my business.  The ipad will be useful for me to showcase our portfolio to prospective clients while on the road.  While at the same time I will never have to worry about leaving my job behind because I can still literally continue my work with this sleek and feature-packed gadget.  I can still create presentations, documents and manage schedules even while I am away.  With its easy interface, and large-size text and bigger icons, it will be easier to navigate and work my way around.  An ideal gadget that will incorporate both business and pleasure all together at the palm of my hands!

2.    Andriod Phone – What I love about the ‘droid’ phone is the ability to run multiple applications that makes multi-tasking easier and hassle-free.  The functionality of the droid phone is also more fluid than other cellphones.  With a droid phone I would be able to do web services, enjoy entertainment, do email and social networking services all at the same time. How sweet is that? Unfortunately, or fortunately, I grabbed the iPhone 4 instead.

3.    A new computer – In Canada, we have 100% business tax write off for new computers in 2010 and early 2011.  It would have been crazy not to take advantage of it. I always fancy new computers the way girls fancy new shoes.  On the business side of it, the computer is the heart and soul of my business so I have to always have the best equipment at all times (a good excuse, right?).  A new computer for a web buff like me is like a candy to a child that I can’t stop myself from wanting more. One is never enough.

4.    Microsoft Kinect For XBox 360 – The release of Microsoft kinect for xbox 360 had me drooling in my sleep. The excitement of having to finally be able to play the xbox 360 with just the wave of my hands and without a controller device whatsoever is a dream come true.  Imagine how every action in the game would be totally dependent on my body movement, including my facial expression and voice which will translate to corresponding movements while I play. Isn’t that pure genius? The motion sending controller is really awesome and would definitely change the phase in the gaming world. Can it really be that great?

5.    Big Flat Screen TV - who wouldn’t want one?  Thank goodness for the many brands competing for the sale, now there are several great deals that I can choose from that are really affordable and yet the quality are topnotch.  Can’t think of a better way for a web design guru like me to take a break and past the time sitting on a coach with my feet up, cuddling next to my wife with my little daughter hanging out next to me and our golden retriever laying next to the fireplace  while watching our favorite shows on a really big flat screen TV.  That is pure bliss!

Now that I got myself so excited I am now literally and officially making the countdown for next Christmas.
